With gentle pressing, the adjustable wrist straps protect your tendons and carpal tunnel, reducing the risk of injuries. The high elasticity of the wrist brace promotes flexibility in your bones and helps relax your muscles, ensuring optimal performance during any activity.

A carpal tunnel support is only worth wearing if you forget you have it on. The MSW08 is an ultra-thin, breathable wrist support in spandex and nylon, built for people who want light, even pressure around the wrist through a working day rather than a rigid splint they have to take off in order to type. It is a soft band and nothing more, so this page sets out plainly what it does, what it does not do, and when a different product is the better answer.
The MSW08 is a single flat band that wraps once around the wrist and closes on itself with hook-and-loop. There is no metal stay, no plastic shell and no rigid insert of any kind — it is a soft wrapped band that holds a consistent, adjustable level of compression against the wrist.
That matters for one reason above all: wear time. A band this thin, in a knitted spandex-and-nylon blend, sits under a shirt cuff, a glove or a lab coat without looking like an orthosis, so it survives a full working day instead of an hour.
Item No.: MSW08. Colours: beige and black. Sizes: S and L.
The band applies mild, even circumferential compression around the wrist. Because the closure is hook-and-loop running the length of the band rather than a fixed rivet or a preset size, you set the tension yourself and it stays where you set it. That gives a steady, mild pressure and a physical reminder of where the wrist is while you work. The band is also shaped to leave part of the wrist surface uncovered, which reduces bunching at the wrist crease and lets air reach the skin.
The MSW08 does not hold the wrist at a fixed angle, so it cannot serve as a night splint or as post-operative immobilisation. It is not a treatment and it does not cure anything. It is a support garment.
The wider evidence is worth stating plainly. The Cochrane systematic review of wrist splinting for carpal tunnel syndrome found the evidence for benefit limited and inconsistent, and could not identify one splint design as better than another (see the Cochrane review summary), and a recent review of wrist orthoses reaches a similar position. We would rather you knew that before ordering a pallet than after.
These are two different devices, and picking the wrong one is the most common mistake in the category.
Choose the MSW08 when the priority is wearing it for hours at a time: office and keyboard work, driving, light manual work, or a hobby that holds the wrist in one position. Thin and breathable are the deciding attributes, because a band you can tolerate all day gets used and a bulky one does not.
Choose a rigid brace when the goal is to limit movement — a neutral-position splint for night use, or immobilisation after injury. Our carpal tunnel wrist brace MSW06 has aluminium and plastic plates that stabilise the wrist. If the brief is compression rather than a thin profile, the SBR wrist compression strap MSW03 is the closer match, and for training rather than a desk, the weightlifting wrist straps MSW09 belong to the sports range.
It is bought most often by people whose wrist discomfort comes from repetition rather than injury, and who need to keep working while wearing something: office and data-entry staff, warehouse and assembly-line workers, drivers, and clinic and lab staff. For a clinical description of the condition itself, the NHS carpal tunnel syndrome page and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand are both suitable references to pass to a retail buyer’s team.
It is also the version that suits pharmacy and retail buyers wanting a lower-priced daytime companion to a rigid night splint.
It is not aimed at acute injury, fracture recovery or post-surgical immobilisation, and should not be presented that way. It is for the wrist, not the fingers: where a finger rather than the wrist is involved, our finger splints and hand braces are the relevant range.
The MSW08 is supplied as an OEM and private-label item. Supported customisation, subject to confirmed quantities:
As a wrist and hand brace manufacturer we also produce the rigid and compression variants either side of this product, so one purchase can cover a full carpal tunnel range instead of a single SKU. Capability is set out on the orthopedic brace manufacturing overview.
