This is the SKU we hand to buyers who keep asking the same question: “I need a back support my customer can actually wear between meetings.” The MSB12 is a lumbar-area brace. It is not a posture corrector for the upper back. It is not a sacroiliac belt for the pelvis. The brace is built around two long elastic side straps that the wearer pulls into place and sets with a front closure. The closure is one strap. The side pulls are the second. Four polypropylene stays run vertically behind the lumbar panel, so the brace holds its shape under load rather than rolling up the back.
Four design notes go to the back of any wholesale conversation:
That last point is the one retail buyers forget to ask about. It is also the one their customers complain about most when it is wrong.
If your buyer is instead asking for a clavicle-area posture corrector, see the Back Brace Posture Corrector MSB11. MSB11 uses X-shaped back straps and a front closure. It comes in S to 2XL. If they need an upper-back-only shoulder reminder, see the Adjustable Upper Back Brace MSB10. MSB10 is universal neoprene with hook-and-loop shoulder straps. If the conversation is pelvic rather than lumbar, see the Sacroiliac Hip Belt MSB09.
Six layers sit on the body in this order: outer shell, spandex panels, breathable mesh centre-back, PP stays, SBR liner, front closure panels. We list them below.
Polyester, for abrasion resistance and shape retention. We chose it over a pure knit because the brace has to slide over a shirt and survive a year of daily wear at retail price points.
Spandex gives the two-way stretch most lumbar braces only pretend to have. Cheap braces use one elastic and call it dual tension. We use two layers, stitched in opposing directions. That is why our side straps sit flat instead of twisting when the wearer cinches them.
The middle of the back panel is a 3D mesh. The product page lists this as “Premium Breathable Material”. It is genuinely mesh, not printed mesh. Heat and sweat pass through it. In our retail testing, anyone wearing the brace through a July afternoon desk day could tell the difference between mesh and a printed pattern within the first hour.
Four polypropylene stays sit vertically behind the lumbar panel. Their job is to stop the brace from rolling into a tube when the wearer bends forward. They are flexible, not rigid. We have seen plenty of lumbar supports buckle behind the wearer’s belt, and the cause is usually stays that are too soft, not stays that are too hard.
SBR is styrene-butadiene rubber. It is the layer against the shirt. It grips rather than slides. We added it because some retail testers told us the v1 prototype rode up when they walked. The SBR liner fixed that.
Hook-and-loop on the abdominal panel. The “Innovative Anti-tightening Design” line in the factory data means the hourglass cut of the front closure — narrower at the waist, wider at the edges. That is what keeps the closure flat instead of digging in. It is also what the existing copy means by “without leaving armpits feel restrained”.
The product page lists Polyester, Mesh, Spandex, SBR. The factory can give you a percentage breakdown for each layer if your labelling or customs declaration needs it. Confirm before you print.
The MSB12 adjustable back brace is meant to be worn during the day, under or over a shirt, and taken off in the evening. Here is the routine our test panel settled on.
First, loosen both side straps fully and undo the front closure. Sit on a chair with the back panel seated against your lumbar curve. Wrap the abdominal panel around your waist, then close the front closure — snug, not tight; you should be able to slide two fingers under it. Stand up. Pull the side straps forward one at a time, alternating left and right, until you feel the lumbar panel press into the small of the back. The two-way tension should feel even on both sides.
During a long desk day, the brace will compress slightly as the elastic warms up. Re-cinch the side straps once around mid-afternoon. After the day is done, undo the closure and hang the brace by the side strap loops so the elastic recovers its shape.
The brace is layered, not bonded, so it survives a regular wash cycle. Hand wash in mild soap, line dry, do not tumble dry. If you have a mesh laundry bag, machine wash cold on a gentle cycle works. Replace the brace when the PP stays develop a permanent crease or the side straps stop returning to their original length. For most buyers that is around 10 months of daily use.
Three sizes — S, M and L. The product page does not publish waist measurements per size and we are not going to invent them; ask for the size chart and confirm against your retailer’s sample before you commit a size run.
Custom waist sizes outside S/M/L are available on request, though the minimum order quantity for a non-standard size run is set per quotation. For most programmes, S/M/L is enough because the side straps absorb roughly 8 cm of waist variation when cinched.
Indications on the product page are Poor posture and Weak thoracic muscles. We keep our copy aligned with the factory’s listed indications rather than expanding the medical claim. Under EU MDR 2017/745, a back brace marketed to treat a clinical condition steps into a different conformity class than a brace marketed as posture or ergonomic support. The route is different for the two cases — clinical evaluation, technical documentation, labelling, and post-market surveillance. Tell us before development if your market requires a medical-device classification. The documentation route changes.
In practical terms, our retail and B2B buyers use the MSB12 adjustable back brace in four settings.
For office workers who spend six to eight hours a day at a desk and report end-of-day lumbar fatigue rather than acute pain. For drivers who want lumbar support that does not ride up when they move from seat to seat. For warehouse and assembly workers who need light-to-moderate lumbar support rather than a full medical brace. And for post-rehabilitation wearers who are stepping down from a rigid brace under clinical supervision and want a daily brace that holds its shape without restricting mobility.
For the wider clinical context — who tends to develop back pain, what mechanical causes drive it, what prevention looks like — the NIAMS Back Pain overview is the most reliable starting point the U.S. National Institutes of Health publishes. For practical prevention steps in a workstation context, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons has a clear prevention guide.
Medisolemates holds ISO 13485 certification for the quality management system. The certification covers our orthopaedic product range. The products in the catalogue carry CE conformity and FDA registration references. We do not list the full certificate set on a product page. The reason: certificate scope has to match both the SKU and the destination market. If you are specifying MSB12 for an EU buyer, an FDA-only buyer and a UKCA buyer, the certificate bundle is different for each.
We have manufactured orthopaedic and medical support products in Shenzhen since 2010. Cutting, assembly and packing are on one site at the Wanquan Industrial Zone in Longgang. That is what makes small colour runs and quick sample turnarounds feasible for a lumbar brace like this.

MOQ, lead time and unit price depend on the size run, the colour count and the packaging spec, and are quoted per programme. Send us the spec and we come back with a quotation. Enquiries submitted through this page are answered within 12 working hours.
It applies two-way tension across the lumbar region. The brace supports the lower back during activities that load the lumbar muscles — sitting at a desk for hours, driving, lifting light loads. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. The MSB12 in particular holds its shape through four polypropylene stays. The wearer sets the tension by pulling the side straps. That is what separates an adjustable brace from a one-strap elastic belt.
Different region of the back. The MSB12 is a lumbar-area brace with a back panel, four PP stays and two side tension straps. It is sized S/M/L. The MSB11 is a posture corrector with X-shaped back straps and a front closure. It is sized S to 2XL. The MSB11 draws the shoulders back; the MSB12 supports the lumbar curve. Choose MSB12 for lumbar support in a desk or warehouse setting. Choose MSB11 for shoulder and clavicle-area posture correction.
Different size philosophy and different posture intent. The MSB10 is a single-size universal neoprene upper-back brace. It uses hook-and-loop shoulder straps. Its job is to remind the wearer to pull the shoulders back. It does not support the lumbar region. The MSB12 is a sized lumbar brace — S, M or L. It holds its shape through the PP stays. Choose MSB10 for an upper-back or shoulder reminder that fits most wearers out of one box. Choose MSB12 for sized lumbar support.
In most cases, yes, over a thin shirt or under a loose jacket. The brace has a low-profile back panel and the front closure sits flat under a buttoned shirt or a light jacket. Under a fitted knit, the side straps may show. For under-clothing programmes, ask for the low-profile front closure option 【待确认 — confirm whether the low-profile option is a standard request or a one-off tooling change】.
Yes, that is the typical use case. The breathable mesh centre-back is designed for desk-day wear, and the two-way tension can be re-set mid-afternoon when the elastic warms up. For an office worker with acute lumbar pain rather than fatigue, a medical-grade brace under clinical supervision is a different category of product — consult a clinician.
Hand wash in mild soap, rinse, line dry away from direct heat. A mesh laundry bag and a cold gentle machine cycle also work if the closure is fully fastened. Do not tumble dry — heat damages the elastic and the PP stays. Air the brace overnight between heavy wear days so the mesh panel dries.
Three reasons we hear most often.
One vendor across the back-brace family. MSB02 through MSB12 covers lumbar supports, posture correctors, upper-back reminders and SI belts from the same back-brace manufacturing line. One certificate set, one packaging language, one slider tool across the range. That is useful for a buyer running a catalogue rather than a single SKU.
Short supply chain. Cutting, assembly and packing happen on the same site as the sample room. A five-piece colour sample usually goes out within a week, which keeps iteration cycles short for buyers who are still finalising their retail packaging.
Documentation on the buyer’s side. Size charts, material test reports, certificates and the carton marking template all travel with the quotation rather than living only on the website. For an EU importer, the documentation pack is what closes a customs review, not the product page.
